Truth is universal and quantifiable, beauty is not. In fact, sometimes what people consider beautiful could be based on lots of deceptions. And the truth, in specific instances and not as a universal value, can sometimes be perceived as "ugly", not "nice" or not what we would like to hear. So I don't see how they can equate either way...

When my self-esteem takes a dive, it's always nice to hear "you are beautiful" :P Well, not on the outside (though that is nice) but I feel good knowing that other people think I am a good person.

I wish that life could go back to being less complicated than it is today. Not even the nostalgic innocence of childhood (though that would be nice on its own), but you know... perhaps a few thousand years back in time. When people hadn't really hatched plots about empires, colonisation, industrialisation and such, or started having grand ideas about who was better than who, or what was right or wrong.

1) Going for my vinyasa class. Actually, I always look forward to these classes twice a week because I love my instructor.
2) Shipping off the first package of items someone has bought as Christmas presents. They're necklaces for her best friends!

Yes, I should think so. Even if it wasn't jewellery, other forms of craft would also be fun. This is the first time in my life I am happy if I have to "work" on a weekend or answer email in the dead of night.
